Salmon runs have remained strong in recent years along the Canadian coast and Hakai Passage, especially since the commercial fishing around the Lodge was eliminated.

Possession limits for Hakai Lodge have remained unchanged since we opened in 1973, at eight (8) salmon, four (4) of which can be Kings, and three (3) halibut per person.
