Hakai Lodge is located in Hakai Pass off the west coast of Canada in the beautiful remote wilderness of British Columbia. The waters in the pass are calm, protected, and teeming with fish – where the fishing is the same now as it was in the “good old days.”
Experience the best of Canadian salmon fishing in the rustic Canadian waters almost 100 miles from the nearest town or conventional airport. In fact, Hakai is best reached by either private boat or by seaplane, for that true feeling of a remote fishing adventure.
Scenery
Hakai Passage is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The views are so scenic that our guests often take time away from the abundant fishing to explore the coast, or one of the hundreds of uninhabited islands that surround the Lodge.
There are 50 miles of sugar white beaches. Bring your camera to capture unlimited wildlife – including humpback, gray and orca whales, bald eagles, osprey, mink, deer, wolves, and otter – in their natural environment. With weather that changes several times a day, it’s no wonder that Hakai is a photographer’s delight!
